Wordpress web page launched!

It's been more like launching a canoe than a rocket, but I have done it. You're thinking he's done what?

Step 1.
Purchased domain(www.profitdrivenwebsites.com) at www.hostgator.com and signed up for a hosting account.

Step 2.
Installed Wordpress

Step 3.
Installed free wordpress theme

Step 4.
Start developing the content

I choose to learn how to create a wordpress site, since there is a lot of buzz about on the net. So far it has been a relatively painless process with help from some free videos.

Today a day to remember that He owns it all, because even if you lose it all it's going back to Him. This is not the first time this has happened, but it appears to be new to us as we experience the market roller coaster for the first time in a long time.

The frustrating thing to me about investing in the stock market is that it is out of my control. So let's focus on what is in your control.

Do you budget and spend less than you make as a result.
Do you save, routinely or automatically via autodraft.
Do you have an emergency fund.
Do you have goals for your money.

If you follow His ways for managing His resources you will be better positioned to take advantage of these uncertain economic times. People are going to be selling stuff at a huge discounts in the midst of fear and panic, are you ready for the bargins.

You have control over your checkbook, so focus on what you can do first.

I just started a Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University class that will span the next 13 weeks. The focus is about what you can do to control yourself, not placing blame on what is out of our control.

Moving on to wordpress

Well after reading Yaro Staraks free newsletter today I am convinced it is time for me to begin the learning process of moving my blog to a Wordpress.org platform. I have heard comments similar to Yaro's since I began my journey into internet marketing, so today is the day.

It is also, and excuse to launch my super secret project with Wayne. It's really not a big secret, but I'm going to wait until I have something to show before I tell you about it.

So if you are interested, here are all the reasons I am going to learn how to use wordpress.org:

• According to all the SEO guru's, wordpress blogs rank well in the search engines, easily.
• When you install wordpress on your server you own it, so there is no risk of google shutting down your blog and losing all of your content, potentially years of work.
• It is highly recommended by lots of folks more experienced than me.
• The people recommending wordpress make more money than me on the internet (which doesn't take much).
• I'm ready to learn something new.
